Dad Man Trading started as one man’s hobby and slowly became something much bigger — a small family-run 3D printing business built around fun products, fair pricing and doing things properly. Dad Man is the bloke behind the printers, the website, the product choices and most of the ideas that probably sounded better in his head before they became plastic dinosaurs, dragons, fidgets and fossils. The business grew from a hobby into a way to create affordable products that people genuinely enjoy. Dad Man handles the printing, preparation and behind-the-scenes work, while the wife and kids take the business out into the community at market appearances. It is very much a family effort, just with different people handling different parts of it. Most of our range is sold in person at market appearances. The family runs the stall, talks to customers and keeps Dad Man Trading connected with the community, while Dad Man keeps the printers running and prepares what goes out with them. We do not offer open custom 3D printing. Our Made to Order range is a selected group of products we know print well, offer good value and are worth making available online. We choose the product and the price; customers choose whether they want one. Our products are printed in South East Queensland. We are not importing mass-produced stock and pretending it came off our printers. We pay for the designs we print and work with files from trusted designers whose work has been proven and tested. That helps us maintain the quality we expect and means we are happy to put the Dad Man Trading name behind the finished product. Profits are reinvested into the business and community-oriented projects, support drives and local initiatives. Dad Man Trading was never built around squeezing every possible dollar out of people. Dad Man Trading is not a big company, a warehouse full of staff or a faceless online shop. It is a family-run project built around 3D printing, market days, good products and trying to do a bit of good along the way.
